 It all started one dark and stormy night......
No, actually, nothing quite so dramatic. I was born in Memphis, TN and moved several times as a very young child, to Arkansas, California, and Selma, AL. I started school in Selma but then moved to Akron, OH while still in first grade. I became interested in art at an early age and am still fascinated by art and really fine artwork. I am essentially self-taught as an artist, and have varied interests as far as subject matter. Landscapes and birds are 2 of my favorite subjects. I rarely do plein air painting anymore, preferring the convenience and comfort of working in my studio. I do hike and take many reference photos from which I complete my paintings.
